US-PH Troops Conclude 40th Balikatan Military Exercise

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the United States Armed Forces have formally concluded the 40th reiteration of annual Balikatan (“shoulder to shoulder”) exercises. Held from April 21 to May 9, this year’s exercise marked a major milestone as it evolved from traditional drills into a multi-domain and full-spectrum, integrated battle simulation. It was labeled as the “largest and most operationally realistic” Balikatan.
