US Calls China a ‘Threat’ to Taiwan and Indo-Pacific; China Says Back Off

A recent high-level defense summit saw the United States (US) Defense Secretary referring to Beijing as a threat to the Indo-Pacific region for wanting to conquer Taiwan by force, possibly soon. PSA notes that it is unprecedented for key US government officials, particularly for the Defense Secretary, to refer to the Chinese government and military as a threat.
