Three Tropical Cyclones and the Southwest Monsoon Trigger Heavy Rainfall in Parts of Luzon and Visayas

Several parts of Luzon and Visayas were affected by successive tropical cyclones and monsoon-intensified rains in the past two weeks, bringing heavy rainfall and widespread flooding and resulting in infrastructure and agricultural damages. Twenty-seven deaths as a result of these tropical cyclones have been recorded thus far, with agriculture losses estimated at PHP 1.01 billion (USD 17.38 million), and infrastructure damages at PHP 979.6 million (USD 16.87 million).
