As is typical, the crime patterns observed in the month of September 2019 primarily involved low level crimes, particularly crimes against property (theft and qualified theft). Eleven incidents of armed robbery were recorded this month. Of those figure, six incidents involved Chinese nationals while one each involved Nigerian, Indian, Singaporean and South Korean nationals. Recorded incidents of murder involved one Indian lender in Camarines Sur and another Indian national national in Oriental Mindoro.

Most crime incidents against foreigners recorded in September 2019 occurred between 5:00 pm and 11:00 pm and mostly involved Chinese victims. Out of the 15 kidnapping-related incidents recorded this month, seven occurred in Metro Manila. Five of these incidents were gambling-related abductions involving Chinese, Malaysian, and Filipino victims. Meanwhile, an attempted kidnapping was recorded in Pasay City involving Chinese offshore gambling employees.
