As is typical, the crime patterns observed in the month of July 2019 primarily involved low level crimes, particularly crimes against property (theft and qualified theft). Nine incidents of armed robbery were recorded this month. Of armed robbery cases, five incidents involved Chinese nationals while four involved Korean nationals. Recorded incidents of murder involved one Chinese victim in the province of Leyte, one Indian national in Camarines Sur.

Most crime incidents against foreigners recorded in July 2019 occurred between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm and mostly involved Chinese victims. Out of the 14 kidnapping-related incidents recorded this month, seven occurred in Metro Manila. Four of these incidents were gambling-related abductions involving Chinese victims, one debt-related abduction of a Chinese national, one incident involving a 26-year old Filipino victim, and one incident involving a suspected mentally unstable suspect targeting an infant.
