PSA recorded 16 crimes against businesspersons and establishments in July 2025. Five of the incidents involved robberies that took place in Makati City, Isabela, Pampanga, and Negros Occidental. Meanwhile, three attacks against businesspersons that resulted in their demise were recorded in Laguna, Davao del Norte, and Bukidnon.
During the period, PSA recorded another case of a delivery rider of an online courier platform diverting goods from the intended recipient, demonstrating the vulnerability of these platforms and how criminal actors are using them as a conduit for theft.. Meanwhile, two robbery incidents highlighted the growing concern over organized robbery operations targeting individuals handling and transporting significant amounts of cash in the provinces of Isabela and Negros Occidental.
In June 2025, the National Capital Region (NCR) and Central Luzon both accounted for the highest number of recorded incidents at four each. These incidents took place in Makati City, Malabon City, Caloocan City, Bulacan, and Pampanga. Other incidents during the period were recorded in North and South Luzon (Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and Calabarzon), Central Visayas, and parts of Mindanao (Northern Mindanao and Davao Region).
Meanwhile, 36 smuggling and counterfeit-related incidents were reported nationwide in July 2025. The reported illegal shipments and fake products that have entered the country and were intercepted this month amounted to PHP 639.8 million (USD 11 million).
