PSA recorded fifteen (15) crimes against businesspersons and establishments in December 2025. Five of the incidents were robberies while the other five were burglaries against businesspersons and business establishments scattered across the Philippines in Quezon City, Rizal, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, and Iloilo. The five remaining incidents were targeted attacks against businesspersons in Cebu and parts of Mindanao.
The month of December is part of the holiday season when the risk of robberies, cyber-related threats, and other theft-related crimes tend to increase. Heightened vigilance and caution are advised during this period.
Meanwhile, twenty-nine (29) smuggling and counterfeit-related incidents were reported nationwide in December 2025. The reported illegal shipments and fake products that have entered the country and were intercepted this month amounted to PHP 2.8 billion (USD 46.9 million). A map of the incidents recorded during the period is included on page 13 of this report.
This month’s featured crime stories highlight two significant incidents: a robbery targeting a delivery truck containing high value electronic goods in Quezon City and a heist against a jewelry store and money exchanger at a shopping mall in Iloilo.
