Recent Theft and Robbery Highlight Security Lapses in Online Delivery and Ride Apps

In recent months, PSA recorded some notable crime incidents that highlight the vulnerabilities of online delivery and ride-hailing platforms, which are being exploited by bad actors for theft and robbery. These include delivery scams, even if the victims booked their riders through the official app, and one violent crime against a ride-hailing app driver.
