Poverty Incidence Aims to be Reduced by 8 to 9 Percent in 2028

The Philippine government is aiming to reduce the poverty incidence rate to 10 to 11 percent by 2027 and further to 8 to 9 percent by 2028, before the end of the term of current President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. This was revised from the previously set target of 10 to 10.3 percent by 2027 and 8.8 to 9 percent in 2028.
