May 2025 Inflation Slows to 1.3 Percent

May 2025 inflation further slid to 1.3 percent as recorded by the Philippine Statistics Authority. The latest figure is the lowest in five years or since November 2019 amid slower increases in utility costs. Year-to-date inflation average currently stands at 1.9 percent, an encouraging print settling even slightly below the government target range of 2 to 4 percent and with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) forecast of a 2.3 percent inflation rate for the whole year.
