March 2025 Unemployment Rate At 3.9 Percent, Productive Employment Remains A Challenge With 24.8 Million Functionally Illiterate Filipinos

Year-on-year unemployment rate remains unchanged as the Philippine Statistics Authority recorded a 3.9 percent unemployment rate in March 2025, the same rate recorded in March 2024. Meanwhile, the underemployment rate inched up to 13.4 percent in March 2025 from 11 percent in March 2024.
