On September 02, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an advisory on Tropical Storm “Enteng” (international name: Yagi). The advisory is as follows:

Typhoon “Yagi” has formed east of Luzon Island in the Philippines and is moving north-northwestward over the sea east of the Polillo Islands with strong force. In addition, heavy rains due to the southwest monsoon are being reported in several areas.

Heavy rains and strong winds are expected throughout the Philippines, increasing the risk of flooding and landslides.

In particular, those who plan to travel to or stay in areas that may be affected in the future, such as those returning to Japan from Cebu via Manila or those traveling from Japan to the Visayas via Manila, are advised to obtain the latest weather information, take appropriate safety precautions, and exercise extreme caution.
